South West Design and Build works alongside ACORUS Ltd, which is a national planning and design consultancy. This collaborative partnership enables projects to be managed from inception to completion with a wealth of experience in all aspects of planning, design and project managment.

The title of the company provides some clues as South West Design and Build works in tandem with ACORUS and their architects, providing invaluable design experience at the start of the project and throughout the construction phase.

South West Design and Build have built up an impressive portfolio of completed construction projects including residential and commercial. Whilst their key clients originate from the design stage with ACORUS, they are also able to take on any build projects no matter how small or large.

More about us

South West Design and Build was established in 2021 by the two Directors of Acorus Ltd, Mike Bamforth and James Whilding. Having worked together for well over 30 years and running a successful national rural planning and design company they decided to expand this into construction and development and purchased a site to construct two high specification dwellings. Following the success of this development, Mike and James were approached by a number of clients to undertake the build of their projects and hence the Design and Build Company was borne. Since inception the company has successfully carried out projects in the region of £5 million.
